Responsibilities
- Support the Fish Compact Coordinator in daily tasks
- Perform a thorough and systematic review of scientific and grey literature on L. miodon, small pelagic fisheries, and lake fisheries management, focusing on Lake Kivu, covering ecology, biology, population dynamics, exploitation patterns, stock assessment, governance, co-management, sustainability, socio-economic aspects, and value chains
- Assist in designing and executing primary data collection through structured surveys, in-depth interviews, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions
- Carry out quantitative and qualitative data analysis and contribute to interpreting findings within ecological, fisheries, and socio-economic contexts
- Help coordinate field activities, including logistics, stakeholder engagement, and data collection campaigns
- Contribute to stakeholder consultations, capacity-building efforts, and community engagement activities
- Produce a comprehensive, publication-quality review and analytical report meeting international scientific and technical standards
