Renesas Electronics is hiring an Engineering Technician 2 to join our team in Palm Bay, Florida. You'll provide hands-on technical support for our engineering teams, working directly with hardware and systems in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware and prototypes
- Set up and operate standard test equipment to support engineering development
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, test results, and configurations
- Assist engineers with system builds, modifications, and validation procedures
- Contribute to process improvement and lab organization efforts
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent military/technical training
- 3+ years of relevant experience in an electronics engineering environment
- Strong hands-on skills with test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Proficiency in soldering, cable assembly, and basic prototyping
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
Nice to Have
- Experience with PCB bring-up, rework, and basic debugging
- Familiarity with microcontroller or semiconductor testing environments
- Knowledge of automated test equipment (ATE) or scripting for test automation
- Experience in a regulated industry such as automotive, industrial, or aerospace
Work Mode
This is an onsite position requiring daily presence at our facility in Palm Bay, Florida.
