What You'll Do
As an Electronics Product Engineer, you'll ensure electronics systems meet strict performance and quality standards throughout production. You'll diagnose test failures, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain product integrity. Your work will directly impact first pass yield, production efficiency, and on-time delivery.
You'll lead technical responses to non-conformances, participate in Material Review Board evaluations, and determine if customer notifications are required. You'll initiate and manage engineering changes through redlining drawings, supporting the Change Review Board and launching Engineering Change Notices. Clear documentation, including work instructions and test procedures, will be a key part of your responsibilities.
You'll develop and deliver training to production teams, ensuring smooth operations. You'll also track critical metrics such as product cost and yield, and serve as the primary technical contact for suppliers and customers. Regular coordination with program management ensures alignment and transparency across all levels.
Requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in electronics development or manufacturing. You must understand circuit-level design and be skilled in using test and measurement tools. Experience with printed circuit board assembly processes is essential.
You should be self-motivated, with strong analytical abilities and a sense of ownership over your assigned products. Excellent communication skills are necessary to collaborate with technicians, engineers, suppliers, and program managers. This role requires regular onsite presence in East Aurora, NY, with occasional travel (10–15%) to supplier or customer locations, sometimes on short notice.
This position involves access to U.S. export-controlled data, so U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace or another regulated industry is highly valued. Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), LEAN principles, project planning, and data analysis strengthens your application. Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100D, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001 is also preferred.
