  • Lead Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to select optimal software solutions aligning with client constraints.
  • Lead development of a transparent data ecosystem and design strategies for secure integration of VA health records.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise architecture guardrails and Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance.
  • Directly engage with clients on solution development as a lead or key stakeholder.
  • Coach and empower Senior Solution Architects and engineering leads.
  • Direct cross-functional engineering teams through the full project lifecycle.
  • Assist in engineering solutions by diving deep into code or configuration to resolve blockers.
  • Oversee and refine development workflows using knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Drive current work and capture new tactical growth opportunities, leading technical volume development for proposals.

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of progressive IT experience.
  • 7+ years in senior or principal technical leadership roles (e.g., Chief Architect, Principal Systems Engineer).
  • Mandatory deep understanding of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) operating environment, specifically ITOM and infrastructure services.
  • Demonstrated understanding of VA health records related to data structure, security, and IT integration.
  • Proven track record designing strategies to modernize fragmented and entrenched legacy systems.
  • Expert knowledge of modern integration standards (REST/SOAP APIs, Microservices).
  • Elite presentation skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to C-suite executives and government leadership.
  • Ability to convert vague business requirements into actionable, long-term technology roadmaps.
  • US Citizen or Green card holder.
  • Willing and able to get a Public Trust Suitability clearance and meet updated ID requirements.
