Scout Clean Energy is looking for a Remote Operations Center (ROC) Operator to provide real-time support to maintain a safe and reliable electric supply for our portfolio of renewable energy projects. This role monitors assets, coordinates with stakeholders, and logs operational events, serving as a foundational career launch point in the renewable energy industry.
What You'll Do
- Provide real-time support to operating projects across the country.
- Use graphical user interfaces to identify potential barriers to efficient operation of wind turbines, inverters, PV/BESS, and substation assets.
- Build and maintain relationships with primary stakeholders and market participants to optimize performance.
- Inform grid operators about planned and unplanned outages at the plant.
- Coordinate with facility managers performing on-site maintenance.
- Monitor data acquisition equipment.
- Provide detailed notes about daily events in a formal digital logbook.
- Provide informal updates to Scout executives as needed.
- Compile or review standard reports viewed by senior leaders and business partners.
- Complete side work during slower times, tailored to individual strengths.
What We're Looking For

- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SCADA or real-time operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in real-time operations roles in a power, manufacturing, or military setting.
- At least one year of previous work with SCADA systems.
- Currently hold or previously held NERC, PJM, or CompTIA certifications.
- Previously held a leadership role in a power-sector ROC.
