ComForCare is hiring a Remote Medical Billing Coordinator to ensure financial accuracy and smooth operations for our home care services. This role is essential for managing claims, documentation, and reimbursements, directly supporting our caregivers and clients.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and submit accurate, compliant medical billing claims for home care services.
- Review caregiver service logs, authorization forms, and care notes prior to billing.
- Process private pay invoices, long-term care insurance claims, and Medicaid/Medicare submissions.
- Resolve claim denials, missing documentation, and reimbursement discrepancies.
- Maintain updated billing records, payment reports, and account histories in the billing system.
- Communicate with insurance companies, responsible parties, and clients regarding billing questions.
- Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements and agency standards.
- Support the finance team with month-end billing reports, audits, and financial tracking.
- Collaborate with schedulers and service coordinators to verify service hours and authorization limits.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing, medical claims processing, or healthcare finance.
- Strong English communication skills (C1/C2 level).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify billing inconsistencies.
- Proficiency with billing software, CRM tools, and Excel.
- Prior experience in remote roles and handling confidential patient information.
- Professional home office setup and stable internet connection.
- Strong Zoom presence and communication ability.
- Required: introduction video as part of the screening process.
