Total Life is seeking a compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California to join our mission. We are a behavioral health company solely dedicated to revolutionizing healthier aging by combating mental health issues and social isolation among the elderly.
What You'll Do
- Provide virtual therapy sessions focusing on relational health and the complexities of family systems in later life.
- Address profound issues of loneliness and isolation through a systemic therapeutic approach that reconnects seniors to their world.
- Help seniors and their support networks manage the emotional toll of aging, cognitive decline, and intergenerational stressors.
- Utilize psychotherapy and evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and Family Systems to improve outcomes for both the individual and their family unit.
What We're Looking For
- Must hold a valid, unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, with a specific focus on family systems or geriatric counseling.
- Demonstrated experience working with clients aged 65+ with expertise in helping clients manage grief, loss, and 'sandwich generation' pressures.
- Must provide proof of professional liability/malpractice insurance (minimum $1M claim limit/$3M aggregate) or be willing to purchase a policy prior to start.
- Must have an active NPI.
- Must be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Comfortable utilizing technology and providing care through a secure teletherapy interface.
- Ability to pass a standard criminal background check.
Nice to Have
- Existing Medicare credentialing or an active CAQH profile is a significant plus.

Work Mode
This is a virtual therapy role. You must be based in California and hold an active California LMFT license.
