Escribers.net is looking for a Remote Digital Court Reporter to join our team on a 1099 contractor basis. This is an entry-level position where you will ensure accurate and professional documentation of remote legal proceedings. You’ll work with a flexible schedule, typically aligned with 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET business hours.
What You'll Do
- Record remote hearings clearly and reliably.
- Verify participant information, including spellings, unusual terms, and places.
- Complete all required digital paperwork promptly.
- Upload all audio recordings without delay.
- Maintain a quiet, professional work location.
- Abide by the established court reporter code of ethics.
What We're Looking For
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- A high degree of professionalism and strong communication skills.
- Accurate typing ability and basic computer proficiency.
- A computer or laptop running Microsoft Windows 7 or higher.
- A high-speed internet connection.
- A current U.S. bank account to receive contract payments.
