Corporate Immigration Attorneys is looking for a Remote Bilingual Business Immigration Attorney fluent in Portuguese. You will focus on employment-based immigration cases, providing expert legal counsel to corporate clients and foreign nationals while preparing and filing key petitions.
What You'll Do
- Diligently prepare cases, develop legal strategies, and draft detailed cover letters.
- Prepare and file immigrant and non-immigrant petitions with expert-level knowledge of EB1, EB2-NIW, and O-1 visas.
- Research unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions.
- Explain complex legal terminology to clients succinctly and in a timely manner.
- Develop effective solutions to complex legal questions.
- Stay up-to-date on legislative changes affecting immigration law.
- Provide training to client companies and individuals on legal topics and new immigration laws.
- Regularly and effectively communicate with clients regarding procedural issues and case strategy.
- Assess the eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for various visa statuses.
- Prepare petitions and applications for submission to the DOL and USCIS.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines, preparing and revising documents with precision.
- Supervise paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation.
- Partner with colleagues to share information, resolve client issues, and support client projects.
What We're Looking For
- A Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree from an accredited US law school.
- Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese.
- High-level organizational skills and exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume law firm setting.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn across various practice areas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
- 1-2 years of specific experience with EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1 visas, and RFE responses.
