Delek US Holdings, Inc. is looking for a Reliability Engineering Intern to support key initiatives at our Big Spring, TX Refinery. In this hands-on role, you will gain valuable field experience learning to track, monitor, and justify projects while contributing to the reliability and performance of our operations.
What You'll Do
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Troubleshoot equipment to determine root cause and take corrective action to resolve system failures.
- Participate in technical investigations, design, and analysis of the performance of various equipment to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, select, and test equipment and components to evaluate and select best-in-class technology systems.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and fellow engineers on equipment problem solving through root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Oversee equipment such as mechanical and/or instrumentation to generate critical equipment lists, update P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
- Plan, design, and write specifications for process equipment.
- Create and prepare reports, type documents, and file.
- Work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team seeking to continuously improve supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or a related Engineering field.
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00.
- Availability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Basic knowledge of industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with SDS and safety protocols in a mechanical environment.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
- Ability to record and present data in a clear and concise manner.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid software application skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and desire for continual learning and self-development.

Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at our Big Spring, TX Refinery. A portion of the work will be performed in the field.
