Bayshore Integrated Care Solutions NRIO was looking for a Rehabilitation Therapist

Bayshore Integrated Care Solutions NRIO is seeking a part-time Rehabilitation Therapist to deliver specialized care for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABIs). You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to helping clients make strides in their recovery, based out of an Etobicoke residential rehabilitation site and supporting community clients across the Greater Toronto Area.

What You'll Do

  • Work with up to 5 clients at a time, assisting them to increase independence through individualized rehabilitation programs.
  • Provide hands-on support with activities of daily living, including personal care, medication management, transfers, and light housekeeping.
  • Accompany clients on community outings via external transport or your own vehicle.
  • Follow prescribed rehabilitation programs accurately and utilize crisis and behavioral management strategies.
  • Complete all required clinical documentation and data tracking following company and provincial guidelines.
  • Conduct research to enhance client programs and perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Maintain flexible availability for evenings, weekends, overnights, and occasional holidays.

What We're Looking For

  • Post-secondary education in social sciences or a healthcare-related field.
  • Valid Class G driver's license with a clean abstract, access to a vehicle, and proper insurance for client transport.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, days, evenings, occasional overnights, and some holidays.
  • Willingness and ability to perform personal care, medication assistance, ADLs, administrative tasks, light cleaning, and therapy implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical capability for bending, stretching, and lifting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks within set timeframes.
  • Proficiency with computers and secure email systems.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with individuals with mental health issues, dual diagnoses, behavioral challenges, chronic pain, or addictions.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, including managing challenging behaviors like aggression or elopement.
  • Ability to work independently, take direction, and collaborate effectively within a team.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position based at our Etobicoke residential rehabilitation site, with work also required in the community supporting clients across the Greater Toronto Area.
