DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse Acute to provide specialized inpatient dialysis care within hospital settings. You will deliver nephrology care through a variety of renal therapies to patients with kidney disease, working as a vital part of a small interdisciplinary team within our contracted healthcare systems. What You'll Do
- Deliver acute nephrology care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, creating and managing unique treatment plans.
- Oversee a group of patients with PCT support, conducting observations, measuring vital statistics, and setting up dialysis machines.
- Provide nephrology care through multiple modalities including Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Apheresis.
- Deliver specialized care within diverse hospital settings such as the ICU, CCU, and Emergency Department.
- Become an integral member of both the hospital care team and the DaVita team at a contracted healthcare system.
- Commit to improving patient health outcomes through clinical goal setting and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or a three-year diploma may be substituted.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment color vision test.
- A flexible schedule with availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice to Have
- Clinical experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) setting.
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification.
