The Clorox Company is hiring a Regional Sales Manager - Southern Malaysia & Singapore (Johor Bahru based)

About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead distributors and secondary sales teams to optimize Clorox's business performance in Southern Malaysia and Singapore, based in Johor Bahru. This role focuses on driving sales, managing distributor relationships, executing trade activities, and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve agreed sales, distribution, and spending objectives by effectively managing and directing secondary sales force activities.
  • Ensure distributor branches’ annual sales and distribution objectives are translated into monthly targets for individual secondary sales personnel.
  • Plan forward-month trade activities with Distributor Branch Managers using scorecards and review progress against agreed timelines within the month.
  • Formally review distributor branches’ performance on a quarterly basis using the Business Review Template.
  • Initiate plans and promotional activities to improve distribution, trade stock holding, merchandising, or sales opportunities.
  • Enforce distribution guidelines through the MUST CARRY LIST to achieve desired distribution objectives by outlet type.
  • Ensure company merchandising standards are met.
  • Ensure good warehouse practices are maintained in distributor warehouses.
  • Ensure distributor compliance with the terms and conditions of the distributor agreement.
  • Complement the Distributor Manager in improving secondary sales force competency through coaching and field accompaniment.
  • Ensure distributor claims are submitted according to finance requirements and on a timely basis.
  • Report competitive activities on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position in an FMCG background.
  • Good communication skills in English and Chinese, both written and oral.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to work independently on own initiative and take responsibility where necessary.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Words, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably in distributor channel.
