As the Regional Sales Manager, you will oversee and strengthen Clorox’s market presence in the Southern Region of Malaysia and Singapore, operating from Johor Bahru. Your primary focus will be building high-performing distributor partnerships and guiding the secondary sales team to meet business targets.
Sales & Distribution Leadership
You will set clear monthly objectives aligned with annual goals, ensuring distributor teams translate plans into field-level actions. Using performance scorecards, you will plan trade activities in collaboration with Distributor Branch Managers and monitor progress against timelines. Quarterly business reviews will be conducted using a standardized template to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Field Execution & Compliance
You are responsible for enforcing distribution standards, including adherence to the MUST CARRY LIST across outlet types, to ensure optimal product availability. Merchandising standards must be consistently maintained, and distributor warehouse operations should follow proper storage and handling practices. You will verify that all distributor activities comply with contractual agreements and financial submission requirements.
Team Development & Market Intelligence
Through coaching and joint field visits, you will support the development of the secondary sales force. You will also initiate promotional strategies to boost sales, improve inventory management, and expand market reach. Regular reporting on competitor movements will help shape responsive strategies in a dynamic FMCG landscape.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of five years in FMCG management roles
- Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken
- Proven leadership and collaboration abilities
- Self-driven with strong initiative and accountability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience working within distributor networks is highly preferred. This role requires independent judgment, organizational skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.
