SGS, a company recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the food industry. You will generate revenue by utilizing a consultative selling approach, cultivating new business and developing long-term partnerships. Your core responsibility is to assess customer needs and create solutions based on SGS's product portfolio to achieve sales targets.
What You'll Do
- Achieve sales revenue goals in a defined sales territory.
- Manage all sales activities including audits, training, and full solutions within the territory.
- Develop and implement an agreed-upon business/marketing plan to expand the customer base.
- Work within sales and support teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals.
- Develop and maintain a database of qualified leads in the CRM system.
- Sell and make recommendations to prospects and clients on SGS solutions.
- Generate proposals in compliance with Accreditation Body and product sector requirements.
- Maximize opportunities to take market share from competitors.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
- Gather and submit detailed business information for pricing.
- Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses.
- Participate in and contribute to the development of client educational programs.
- Maintain effective working relationships with all support departments.
- Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans.
- Include appropriate International Sales or Account Managers on Global Key Account opportunities.
- Adopt safe behavior regarding health and safety of employees and clients.
- Comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in the TIC industry certification sales focused on the food industry.
- Experience with ISO standards.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the Certification industry.
