nVent is hiring a Regional Sales Manager - ERICO/ILSCO, North Central USA

About the Role

nVent is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead demand creation and product expertise for the ERICO and ILSCO electrical connections brands across the North Central USA commercial market. You will be accountable for driving revenue growth, market share, and customer value by partnering directly with our sales team and agent network.

What You'll Do

  • Achieve sales goals for ERICO and ILSCO Commercial Electrical business by maintaining existing accounts and converting new business.
  • Develop multi-year sales strategy and tactical plans to hit targets by identifying and developing new customers, end users, key projects, and channel partners.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing third-party agent sales team across the geography.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels with key customers, distribution partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Provide product expertise through training and technical presentations to influence end-user specifications.
  • Support agent opportunities and proposals for ERICO and ILSCO products.
  • Lead quotes, pricing, and KPIs to ensure profitability, analyzing sales data to uncover trends.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Pricing, and Operations to align sales initiatives with business objectives.
  • Utilize CRM Platform to lead the opportunity pipeline and communicate feedback internally.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution or applicable outside sales experience.
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office and travel on average 60% of the time throughout IL, IA, KS, MO, MN, NE, ND, SD, WI, and Northwestern IN, with overnight trips expected.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • High-level organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.
  • Physically capable of navigating construction project sites.

Nice to Have

  • 5+ years outside sales and/or territory sales management experience in the commercial or industrial space with electrical products.
  • Strong preference for technical sales and value-based selling skills.
  • Commercial and contractor sales knowledge.

  • CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)

Team & Environment

You will lead a third-party agent sales team across the region.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be based within the sales region covering IL, IA, KS, MO, MN, NE, ND, SD, WI, and Northwestern IN.
