About the Role

Marelli is looking for a Regional Commodity Specialist to join the Purchasing+ GBS team in the Americas. In this role, you will manage a reliable supplier panel for the Facility Management and Services macro-class, creating sustainable value by integrating external partners to generate competitive advantages. You will be based in Aguascalientes.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze Facilities Services needs, Purchase Requests, and Sourcing forecast demands.
  • Support Divisional and GBS Buyers in negotiation activity and preparation of necessary documentation.
  • Lead preparation and negotiation of HQ or multi-divisional Contracts and/or Framework Agreements; support Divisional ones.
  • Interface with Plant Maintenance, Manufacturing, HR, Security, EHS, and Services requesters, providing approved supplier contracts, rates, and terms.
  • Approve Supplier nomination process within delegation limits, supporting Buyers to release Purchase Orders.
  • Manage key RFQs with Plant Teams, kick off enquiries, analyze quotes, evaluate cost breakdowns for best TCO, and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Form and manage a supplier panel with stakeholders to provide access to new/needed technologies and capacities at competitive conditions.
  • Define supplier bid lists for new business opportunities in respect of commodity strategies and follow the sourcing process.

What We're Looking For

  • Economics or Engineering Degree, International Business education.
  • Fluent English and professional proficiency in Spanish.
  • 3+ years in International Purchasing or CAPEX/OPEX, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Consolidated experience in Purchasing Indirect or Tier 1 Purchasing.
  • US-entering Visa availability for meetings and supplier visits.

Nice to Have

  • Portuguese language skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suites, expert in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Functional expertise of BPCS, IFS, SAP, and/or JAGGAER eProcurement Platform.
  • Ability to work effectively within a global matrixed, multicultural team across Brazil, USA, Mexico.
  • Problem-solving and analysis techniques, good communication skills.
  • Commercial and Technical Negotiation Skills, Mediation skills, relationship building, conflict management.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, with Travel Availability within the region.
