About the Role

Calyxo is looking for a Regional Clinical Development Manager, Great Lakes/Mid-Atlantic to lead and manage clinical support and case coverage. This role develops clinical education for sales, clinical staff, surgeons, and OR teams to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. You'll work cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and R&D.

What You'll Do

  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of Clinical Specialists and 1099 contractors in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Manage day-to-day deployment of clinical staff to maximize efficiency and clinical outcomes.
  • Provide quarterly assessments, reviews, and field rides to coach and develop direct reports.
  • Ensure clinical competence and manage case sign-off post new hire training.
  • Support the development and delivery of New Hire Training materials.
  • Coordinate with sales to perform pre-training and assist with placing new hires into procedures.
  • Perform live presentations, simulated role-plays, and hands-on simulated training.
  • Work with Sales to perform case coverage assignments when a clinical and cross regional need arises.
  • Assist Sales to co-manage Clinical Specialists with educational objectives for customers.
  • Document case results and report them to the Sales Consultant.
  • Provide education deliverables to the surgeon and/or OR staff as needed.
  • Partner with R&D and Marketing on new product launches, market acceptance, and case data follow-up.
  • Participate in labs evaluating design changes and future product enhancements.
  • Partner with the Sales team to deliver clinical deliverables to customers.
  • Co-manage customer-facing webinars and facilitate clinical breakout sessions at meetings.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, transparent, ethical, efficient, high achieving, and fun culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of clinical professional training OR and surgical based experience.
  • Professional work ethic, strong organizational skills, and ability to perform at high levels independently.
  • Ability to travel 90% which includes overnight travel.
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements and manage needs at sites.
  • Strong interpersonal skill and experience training surgeons in the OR and working with Sales onboarding.
  • Proficient in ALL Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to manage, edit and develop surgical videos and other training materials as needed.
  • Compliance with relevant county, state, and Federal rules regarding vaccinations.
  • Valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence and a clean driving record.
  • Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with the FDA’s Quality System Regulations.

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated clinical mastery related to surgical devices and urology experience.

Technical Stack

Team & Environment

You will work in a cross-function capacity with Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and R&D, reporting to the Director, Clinical Excellence.
