Patch is looking for a Regional Childcare Director to play a pivotal role in managing and supporting caregivers across 7-10 back up childcare sites remotely. You will be accountable for site success metrics, caregiver management, customer success, and compliance, directly contributing to our mission of making high-quality, affordable, and accessible childcare a reality for every family.
What You'll Do
- Remotely manage a team of 15+ caregivers through messages and phone calls.
- Support caregiver recruitment, training, professional development, and retention, including creating individualized plans and conducting performance reviews.
- Coordinate caregiver schedules and staffing needs across sites.
- Assist with caregiver payroll and HR systems.
- Be available on-call for caregivers to offer timely assistance and guidance during emergencies and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop and deliver ongoing training programs for staff.
- Assist with driving enrollment of new families and utilization of services across sites.
- Support caregivers in recruiting families through in-person events, flyering, and employee presentations.
- Monitor success metrics across sites.
- Serve as point of contact for parents who need additional support, maintaining high-quality communication standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, conduct quality assessments, and monitor safety procedures.
- Visit each site 1-2 times per year to support team morale and inspect the space and operations.
- Provide leadership, strategic guidance, and identify growth opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in a multi-site management or operations role with a successful track record managing employees remotely.
- Experience in multi-site operational management in childcare, healthcare, retail, nonprofit, logistics, or other relevant industries.
- Understanding of managing a part-time workforce and inspiring retention and performance.
- Comfortable navigating a range of digital tools and systems, quickly learning new platforms.
- Flexible and willing to embrace evolution and change in a growing company.
- Stellar leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Committed to being reachable, proactive, and responsive, especially in high-need situations.
- Excel in maintaining compliance with regulations and quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, business management, operations, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree.
- Solid understanding of the childcare landscape, including industry and regulatory best practices.
- Speak a language besides English.
