Penguin Random House is hiring a Referent Finance and Accounting

Penguin Random House is looking for a Referent Finance and Accounting to ensure financial transparency and act as a key business partner. In this role, you will be responsible for cost center and cost unit accounting, financial reporting, and risk management within a collaborative environment built on respect and team spirit.

What You'll Do

• Manage cost center and cost unit accounting, including variance analyses to ensure financial transparency.
• Create monthly and annual financial statements and develop reporting and controlling instruments.
• Handle risk management topics.
• Collaborate on budgeting and forecasts and manage invoicing, including master data maintenance.
• Act as a business partner to departments on business management questions and serve as a contact for auditors.

What We're Looking For

• A completed business studies degree and initial professional experience with a focus on accounting or controlling.
• Or a commercial apprenticeship with several years of practical experience in accounting or controlling.
• Solid knowledge of accounting according to HGB and IFRS.
• High-level IT competence: MS Office, SQL, BI tools, AI applications, and SAP (CO, FI, SD).
• Very good German and English language skills, both spoken and written.
• Pronounced analytical mindset and strong affinity for numbers.
