Seagate is looking for a Recording Media Operations Intern to contribute to digital transformation within our manufacturing operations. You will apply data, automation, and AI to drive operational improvements as part of the Recording Media Operations team.
What You'll Do
- Collect, clean, label, and organize structured and unstructured datasets including image, numerical, or mixed-type data.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover operational patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Build, test, and evaluate ML models such as classification, regression, and clustering.
- Contribute to feature engineering, data preprocessing, and workflow automation steps.
- Document experiments, summarize findings, and share insights with engineering and operations stakeholders.
- Assist with prototype deployment or light integration work including basic scripts, dashboards, or automation tools.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries like scikit-learn, pandas, and numpy.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and related apps such as Power Automate and Power BI.
- Basic understanding of supervised learning concepts and evaluation metrics.
- Able to commit to a full-time internship from May/Aug to Dec.

- Interest in automation, data visualization, or data quality engineering.
