Responsibilities
- Submit precise and complete requests for patient records to healthcare provider Release of Information departments using the company's internal system
- Consistently follow up through phone, email, and fax to secure timely delivery of records, applying persistence and initiative when delays occur
- Accurately upload, label, and file received medical documents to the correct patient profiles in Salesforce with high precision
- Ensure all interactions with providers and record collection activities are thoroughly documented in Salesforce; undocumented work is considered incomplete
- Achieve or surpass targets for volume of records collected and speed of turnaround; performance is measured and expected to be consistent
- Develop and maintain professional rapport with provider offices to improve cooperation and streamline record retrieval
- Anticipate and independently resolve obstacles such as incorrect contact details, unresponsive staff, or missing authorizations without waiting for direction
- Exercise sound judgment while strictly adhering to HIPAA regulations and internal data privacy standards
- Utilize a dependable, high-performance computer and stable, high-speed internet connection to maintain productivity
- Work autonomously with accountability; activity is monitored, and consistent output is required—presence without productivity is unacceptable
