About the Role
The Reconciliation & Settlement Analyst ensures that all fiat and cryptocurrency transactions are accurately recorded and settled. This role involves daily reconciliation of financial data, identifying discrepancies, and working with internal teams to resolve issues promptly while maintaining compliance and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily transaction flows for fiat and digital assets
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in settlement records
- Reconcile internal ledgers with external exchange and banking data
- Investigate mismatches between expected and actual balances
- Prepare and validate daily settlement reports
- Collaborate with finance and compliance teams on reporting accuracy
- Track unresolved items and drive timely resolution
- Maintain documentation for reconciliation procedures
- Support audit processes with accurate recordkeeping
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations in transaction handling
- Analyze settlement patterns to detect anomalies
- Escalate critical issues to relevant stakeholders promptly
- Verify successful completion of payment cycles
- Reconcile third-party processor data with internal systems
- Assist in improving reconciliation automation tools
- Respond to inquiries related to settlement status
- Monitor bank statement integrations for accuracy
- Validate crypto transaction confirmations on blockchains
- Maintain consistency between fiat and crypto ledgers
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities
- Report on reconciliation performance metrics
- Follow defined protocols for exception handling
- Ensure data integrity across multiple financial platforms
- Contribute to process standardization across regions
- Participate in system testing for financial integrations
