BMW Group is looking for a Real Estate Project CAD Systems Specialist to manage the technical drawing ecosystem for our facility construction projects across the Americas Region. You will create, maintain, and review BIM drawings while coordinating our Real Estate digitalization efforts.
What You'll Do
- Create, maintain, and review BIM (Building Information Modeling) drawings to implement facility-related construction projects.
- Manage design and as-built drawings and documentation for the Real Estate Americas Region.
- Review design and as-built drawings for accuracy and perform field verification.
- Maintain drawing design standards consistent with current archives.
- Maintain and modify BMW Real Estate Project Systems data (e.g., SAP REFX, SAP EAM, KLUSA, SWOOP) and coordinate updates with Central Real Estate.
- Create and modify drawings to consolidate the work of multiple Architect Engineering Firms and GCs into a single consolidated drawing.
- Create and maintain drawings based on 3D Laser Scanning efforts, performing scans as needed to obtain accurate field data.
- Coordinate the implementation of Real Estate Department Development Digitalization efforts.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS Degree in a technical field, preferably IT/Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Structural); OR AA/AS degree in a technical field and 2 years of professional engineering/construction experience; OR the equivalent of 4 years of professional experience in an engineering or construction role.
- 5+ years of professional IT/Engineering experience in an industrial or construction environment.
- 5+ years of experience with BIM software.
- 5+ years of demonstrated ability to read and understand engineering drawings across multiple disciplines (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical).
- 5+ years of professional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- 5+ years of professional MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice to Have
- 2+ years of experience with LEAN methodology.
