Zions Bancorporation is hiring a Real Estate Capital Markets Originator to originate CMBS loans, establish market presence, and drive business development within our Real Estate Capital Markets division. You will supervise deal teams through the entire process from sourcing to closing and securitization.
What You'll Do
- Solicit contacts to develop a robust pipeline of CMBS financing opportunities.
- Obtain and analyze financial, borrower, and market data to screen potential loan candidates.
- Apply CRE credit and structuring experience, including CMBS-specific underwriting, pricing, and rating agency analysis.
- Supervise a deal team from initial sourcing through loan closing and securitization for seamless execution.
- Negotiate loan terms and collaborate with credit, underwriters, and legal counsel through all deal phases.
- Monitor market conditions, issuance trends, and details of comparable transactions.
- Travel domestically as required.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in CRE lending, banking, investing, or capital markets.
- 5+ years of specific CMBS origination experience.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate capital markets, complex credit structures, and credit analysis.
- Excellent customer service, relationship-building, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong evaluation, problem resolution, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff.
