Amgen Inc. is hiring a R&D Knowledge & Learning Graduate Intern (Global Development)

About the Role

Amgen is looking for a R&D Knowledge & Learning Graduate Intern to help shape the future of scientific learning and knowledge management within our Global Development (GD) organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams that bring Amgen’s science to life in clinical trials, ensuring study teams and sites deeply understand the science behind our protocols.

What You'll Do

  • Support the design, development, and delivery of scientific learning solutions across multiple therapeutic areas (e.g., Oncology, General Medicine, Inflammation, Rare Disease).
  • Assist in creating disease state and mechanism of action (MOA) summaries, study overviews, and educational solutions to support clinical teams.
  • Contribute to learning asset development, including scenario-based modules, quick reference guides, infographics, and microlearning content.
  • Help maintain and organize scientific learning materials in knowledge management systems (e.g., SharePoint, LMS), ensuring findability and version control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Clinical Operations, Medical, Biostats, and Site Engagement to gather input and ensure scientific accuracy.

What We're Looking For

  • 18 years or older.
  • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA, Master’s, PharmD, or Ph.D. program from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of the program before the internship starts.
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship.
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts.
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Nice to Have

  • Degree concentration in Life Sciences, Education, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Strong scientific literacy and ability to synthesize technical or clinical content.
  • Demonstrated interest in learning strategy, knowledge management, or instructional design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneNote).
  • Familiarity with LMS or content authoring tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, global, and virtual environment.

Technical Stack

  • Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneNote)
  • LMS or content authoring tools

Team & Environment

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Clinical Operations, Medical, Biostats, and Site Engagement.
