Cluttons is looking for a Rating Surveying Assistant to join our market-leading Rating team in Manchester. In this role, you will provide first-class support to Partners and surveyors, delivering rating advice to a broad range of clients including landlords, occupiers, investors, and developers.
What You'll Do
- Alongside surveyors, attend client meetings as required.
- Support surveyors to provide bespoke rates appeal and mitigation advice to a wide range of clients.
- Assist in the preparation of client reports.
- Assist the surveyors on building inspections.
- Develop good working knowledge of existing systems and processes for the delivery of services to clients.
- Assist on any ad-hoc projects and work to support the surveyors in successful delivery to clients.
- Support in delivering services to existing client base.
- Develop knowledge of principles and practices of related disciplines.
- Enhance Cluttons’ reputation through supporting successful delivery.
- Provide first-class support to colleagues.
- Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Develop a working knowledge of relevant software packages.
- Evaluate, adapt, and improve standards, techniques, and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Educated to A Level or NVQ.
- Keen interest in real estate.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Creative thinker.
- Ability to work autonomously and coordinate tasks efficiently to ensure deadlines are met.
- Accurate and exceptional attention to detail.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Team player who works effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook).
- Ability to learn new skills quickly.
Nice to Have
- A background in clerical or office work would be beneficial but is not a necessity as training will be provided.
