Grand Canyon University, Arizona’s premier private Christian university, is looking for an Adjunct Faculty member to teach an online foundational studio course in Raster and Vector Technologies. In this remote role, you will guide students through core concepts while supporting the University’s mission.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom.
- Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.
- Respond to students’ questions and emails within established timeframes.
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in communication arts, graphic design, illustration, animation, or a related discipline.
- Industry-level knowledge of current versions of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Behance.
- Knowledge of multiple media capturing techniques, and image usage rights and ethics.
- A demonstrated understanding of concept development and compositional skills.
- Ability to teach on the most current version of Adobe software products. GCU does not provide software or hardware.
- A portfolio of current work examples is required with the application.
Nice to Have
- A Master’s degree.
- 3 or more years’ experience in the design industry.
