About the Role

Allstate NI is hiring a Manager, Casualty Claims - Accident Benefits (Alberta). Reporting to the Senior Manager, National Accident Benefits, you will be accountable for managing a team of Claim Advisors to achieve loss containment, customer experience, efficiency, and employee engagement objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Provide operational leadership and direction to a team of Claim Advisors, ensuring cooperation to meet departmental performance requirements.
  • Analyze individual and team performance to identify opportunities and adverse trends, building plans to capitalize and reduce risk.
  • Develop employees through coaching and feedback in preparation for career opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement an optimal organization design within your team, aligning roles and tasks to deliver on strategy.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve customer service, efficiencies, employee engagement, and cost containment.
  • Collaborate with Department Claim Managers to drive departmental objectives.
  • Ensure performance and development plans are in place for all direct reports.
  • Provide ongoing direction to the team to achieve targets.
  • Participate in Talent Pool Assessments.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3-4 years of Casualty Claim experience in Accident Benefits.
  • Strong people leadership and management experience.
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge, especially in Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of business technology systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Legal and Regulatory requirements such as Provincial Insurance Acts.

Nice to Have

  • Enrolled in, or completion of, CIP designation.
  • Strong working knowledge of foundational management systems: Continuous Improvement, Agile, Change Management.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau would be considered an asset.

You will manage a team of Claim Advisors specializing in Accident Benefits and report directly to the Senior Manager, National Accident Benefits.
