About the Role

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Team Lead - Worker's Compensation. In this role, you will supervise the operation of multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for workers compensation claims, providing technical direction and monitoring individual claim activities. You'll be part of a caring culture focused on empathy, accountability, collaboration, growth, and inclusion.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise multiple teams of examiners and/or technical operations colleagues.
  • Identify and advise management of trends, problems, and issues; recommend course of action.
  • Provide technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
  • Compile, review, and analyze management reports and take appropriate action.
  • Perform quality review on claims in compliance with audit, contract, and quality standards.
  • Support the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travel as required.
  • Administer company personnel policies and follow staffing standards and training recommendations.
  • Interview, hire, and establish colleague performance development plans; conduct performance discussions.
  • Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to promote maximum performance.

What We're Looking For

  • Six (6) years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years claims supervisor experience.
  • Licenses as required.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional certifications as applicable to line of business.

Team & Environment

You will supervise multiple teams with a wide span of control, including a minimum of seven technical operations colleagues. The role involves supervising examiners and technical staff for workers compensation clients and reports to management.
