The Range Facilities Analyst plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing training infrastructure for Naval Special Warfare operations. This position provides critical support to the Range Department by managing day-to-day facility needs and ensuring all physical assets are accurately tracked and maintained across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update comprehensive records of range facilities, including real property and improvements, ensuring full accountability.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation such as Site Approval Requests, DD1391 forms, cost estimates, and MILCON packages.
- Support the planning and prioritization of facility improvement initiatives and routine maintenance requests.
- Develop Life Cycle Management Plans for equipment and infrastructure to support long-term sustainability.
- Track project statuses and assist in forecasting future facility needs based on mission demands.
- Participate in coordination meetings with leadership to align facility planning with operational goals.
- Review and assist in drafting inter-agency agreements, including Memorandums of Agreement and Inter-Service Support Agreements.
- Monitor monthly expenditures and reconcile requests to ensure accurate financial tracking.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must have at least five years of recent project management experience and a minimum of eight years in facilities management—Navy Civil Engineering Corps, NAVFAC, or Army Corps of Engineers experience is highly relevant. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is essential, along with experience using internal databases to enter, retrieve, and analyze data.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities are required, including the ability to draft correspondence in military format. The role demands precision, independence, and a disciplined approach to data integrity. Applicants must be detail-oriented, capable of identifying trends in operational data, and skilled at researching and resolving discrepancies.
A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must be eligible to obtain and retain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance. Prior experience working with Naval Special Warfare commands is preferred, as is holding a recognized project management certification.
