About the Role

International SOS Government Medical Services is hiring a Radiologic Technician (CT & X-Ray Certified) for a project in Iraq. You will provide a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging examinations, performing studies, preparing patients, and ensuring radiation safety in a critical operational environment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform X-Ray and CT studies ordered by staff on patients.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures, positioning them correctly and adjusting immobilization devices.
  • Modify equipment controls to set exposure factors and move equipment into specified positions.
  • Explain treatments and answer questions for patients.
  • Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Follow drug protocols for reactions, administer first aid, and use the emergency cart as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Actively participate in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
  • Complete required organizational compliance education, including client-specified requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Radiology Technician, including 6 months within the last year.
  • An unrestricted license or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • ARRT CT certification/registration.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Completion of an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate, or associate degree. U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school training certification (4R0X1, 68P, HM-8451) may also fulfill this requirement.
  • Ability to meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card.
  • Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date, maintained throughout your stay in Iraq.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically an MRPT.
  • Ability to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.

Nice to Have

  • Experience on a military site as a government subcontractor or prime contractor.
  • A current security clearance.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position in Iraq. You must be able to relocate to Iraq for the project's duration.
