Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic examinations including conventional radiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, CT scan, MRI, mobile radiography in patient rooms, C-arm operations in operating rooms, Cath Lab angiography, and prepare ultrasound equipment according to established procedures and quality and safety standards to support medical services and physician diagnoses.
- Inspect equipment before examinations and prepare radiation protection gear to minimize disruptions during inspection activities.
- Enter data related to confirming patient arrivals and necessary patient information into the radiology service system.
- Coordinate with the administrative department regarding examinations that will be or have been performed.
- Prepare patients for examinations, including explaining procedures to ensure patient understanding and consent.
- Conduct radiographic examinations as requested by referring physicians while implementing radiation protection measures.
- Ensure equipment is organized and clean after examination activities.
- Perform processes directly related to computer radiography, including data entry, image editing, and photo quality checks to produce optimal radiographic images for use by radiology specialists.
- Complete thorough documentation and filing in patient files and for radiology service operational needs.
- Collect required data and create reports related to operational activities for analysis by supervisors or other relevant parties.
- Implement quality and safety service procedures and practices, including attending training, collecting data, documenting, and creating reports to support hospital-wide indicators and related departmental or unit targets.
