Role Overview
This position supports the North American sales function for industrial and steel sector clients, focusing on the preparation and management of commercial quotations. The analyst ensures accuracy, consistency, and competitiveness in proposals while working closely with engineering, sales, and global teams to meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and manage multiple commercial offers simultaneously, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and business goals
- Collaborate with the NAM Engineering & Quotation team to exchange knowledge, improve processes, and strengthen team capabilities
- Conduct ad-hoc financial and business analyses to support decision-making across departments
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather pricing, availability, and technical data needed for accurate proposals
- Support special projects such as non-standard sales opportunities, business planning initiatives, and process improvements
Qualifications and Skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required
- Strong numerical aptitude and comfort working with financial data and spreadsheets
- Proficiency in SAP ERP and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- Background in quotation, estimation, or commercial offer preparation
- Familiarity with the refractory or steel industry
- Experience working in multicultural or international settings
- Exposure to CRM platforms or customer relationship management systems
