Legend Biotech US is hiring a Quantitative Pharmacology Scientist to play a pivotal role in our mission to treat and cure life-threatening diseases. In this position, you will lead modeling and simulation efforts to support our gene and cell therapy portfolio, focusing on shaping clinical pharmacology strategies and driving model-informed drug development.
What You'll Do
- Lead QSP and popPK modeling activities across preclinical and clinical development stages.
- Develop and apply mechanistic models to understand disease pathways, drug mechanisms, and patient variability.
- Conduct simulations to support dose selection, trial design, and exposure-response analyses.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, clinical, regulatory, and biostatistics teams.
- Author and review clinical pharmacology sections of regulatory documents such as INDs and NDAs.
- Contribute to scientific publications and conference presentations.
What We're Looking For
- An MS, PhD, or Pharm D in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 7+ years of experience with an MS degree or 3+ years with a PhD/Pharm D in quantitative pharmacology or pharmacometrics within pharmaceutical or CRO companies.
- Demonstrated expertise in QSP and popPK modeling, with proficiency in tools like NONMEM, R, MATLAB, or Monolix.
- Deep understanding of PK/PD principles, translational medicine, and the role of quantitative pharmacology in model-informed drug development.
- Proven ability to apply modeling and simulation to enable rational and efficient preclinical and clinical drug development.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines for clinical pharmacology.
- Strong execution ability, independent scientific research, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and oral communication skills, good team spirit, and good project management skills.
- A proven track record of scientific contributions through publications or presentations.
