What You'll Do
Lead quality integration throughout new product development cycles, ensuring designs meet required standards before production. Apply structured risk assessment methods to detect potential quality issues early and develop coordinated response strategies with engineering teams.
Create and maintain control plans and inspection documentation, defining clear quality benchmarks for manufacturing processes. Serve as a quality gatekeeper by validating both product and process designs, ensuring readiness for scale-up.
Design and implement testing protocols and measurement systems tailored to new projects. Take ownership of customer complaint resolution, including root cause analysis, containment actions, and formal 8D reporting when required.
Lead problem-solving initiatives during development phases and conduct training for quality control staff and operators on new inspection procedures. Support process audits to verify compliance with defined quality practices.
Analyze quality data on recurring intervals and report trends to guide improvement efforts. Champion initiatives to reduce poor-quality costs and enhance overall performance. Work closely with suppliers to strengthen their quality capabilities and ensure consistent delivery of compliant components.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years in quality engineering within mechanical manufacturing or automotive sectors
- Proven experience managing quality aspects of project lifecycles
- Familiarity with FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, and other core quality tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with initiative and precision
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including data visualization and presentation development
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in stainless steel valve manufacturing
Work Mode
This is an onsite role based in a facility with routine access to the production floor. Approximately 50% travel may be required to support supplier sites, customer locations, or internal facilities.
