Re:Build DAPR Engineering, LLC / Re:Build Manufacturing is hiring a Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating and qualifying suppliers through audits, corrective actions, and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Engage in First Article Inspection, batch acceptance, and managing non-conforming materials or processes
  • Perform dimensional checks and metrology tasks to verify conformance with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Support the maintenance and implementation of quality management systems aligned with AS9100 and ISO 9001
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate quality principles at every production stage
  • Prepare for and assist during customer audits and on-site inspections across multiple programs
  • Apply Lean methodologies to identify and execute process improvements

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years in quality engineering, preferably within aerospace or defense sectors
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management frameworks
  • Understanding of FAA and military certification standards
  • Experience with FAI, CAPA investigations, root cause analysis, MRB, and non-conformance workflows
  • Hands-on background in inspection techniques and metrology
  • Proven involvement in supplier quality management or supplier qualification programs
  • Certification as an Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor under ISO 9001:2015

Nice to Have

  • Background supporting prototype development or low-volume production of aerospace components made from composites or metals
  • Experience with precision optical or infrared materials, particularly for sensor or optics-based programs
  • Hold current IPC J-STD-001 certification
  • Training in Lean methodologies or continuous improvement practices
