Handshake is hiring a QGIS Specialist - AI Trainer to support AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. You will apply your QGIS knowledge to evaluate AI-generated responses and provide feedback that refines AI understanding of GIS tasks and spatial data workflows.
What You'll Do
- Create tool-related questions and review AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance to real-world GIS and spatial data workflows.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with QGIS, whether through professional work or freelance projects.
- A working knowledge of GIS concepts, spatial analysis, and geospatial data workflows.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and follow written guidelines.
- Must be currently residing in the United States.
Nice to Have
- Experience in roles like Spatial Data Scientist, GIS Analyst, Environmental Scientist, Conservation Ecologist, Urban Planner, or Environmental Analyst.
- Solid experience with spatial analysis, environmental mapping, or geospatial data workflows using QGIS or ArcGIS.
- Experience with remote sensing, urban planning data, or conservation mapping workflows.
- Experience annotating or labeling spatial datasets and geographic assets.
- Experience reviewing maps and spatial outputs for accuracy, data integrity, or scientific consistency.
