Cority is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to champion test automation projects and lead the transition from manual to automated testing. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating and running automated test tools, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the development cycle.
What You'll Do
- Champion the Test Automation project, including preparation, creation, and running of automated test tools.
- Actively support Cority's focus on test automation by helping transition from manual testing to test automation.
- Identify and document software test cases that can be covered by test automation.
- Oversee the execution of automation tests during each release.
- Identify risks early and communicate them effectively to team leaders, developers, and the QA Manager.
- Track defect progress and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout the development cycle.
What We're Looking For
- A university degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 8 years as a software QA specialist, with 4 years in test automation.
- Proven knowledge of scripting languages for test automation: Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, etc.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks like Playwright, Postman/Newman, Selenium.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitoring results.
- Deep understanding of the QA role in Cloud and SaaS testing environments.
- Strong grasp of testing methodologies (functional, regression, performance, etc.).
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Proven record of leading quality aspects for a team, preferably in Web and Cloud.
- Proven record of collaborating with Product Managers on requirements to create test strategy.
- Proven ability to develop test automation frameworks and lead test engineers.
- Proven ability to develop and execute test cases, create bug reports, and analyze results.
- Proven record of providing meaningful estimates of testing effort.
- Ability to work independently or as a team member.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with bug tracking/test management tools: Jira, TestRail or equivalent.
Nice to Have
- Experience with BI.
- API/UI automation skills would be considered an asset.
- Previous experience with API testing, Continuous Integration, and GitLab.
- EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) experience.
