Oak Street Health is looking for a PXSO Pharmacy Technician I to join our team. This role is a vital link between patients, providers, and pharmacists, focused on providing exceptional, empathetic customer service over the phone to ensure patients receive their medications seamlessly.
What You'll Do
- Field inbound calls for refill requests, investigate status, and fulfill medication renewals.
- Contact patients to assist and remind them in obtaining medication refills.
- Make outbound calls to pharmacies on behalf of patients when needed.
- Handle a daily volume of 40-50 inbound and/or 60-80 outbound calls.
- Coordinate with center care teams to overcome barriers preventing patients from receiving refills.
- Utilize our electronic medical record platform to send requests and updates to field care teams.
- Document clear and precise information into applicable electronic platforms.
- Capture and document all patient requests prior to ending each call.
- Monitor the CareReq queue to ensure completion of any open requisitions.
- Arrange transportation for center visits and schedule off-cadence patient appointments.
- Utilize triage nurse line with warm transfers for acute healthcare concerns.
- Execute prescription requests according to up-to-date process standards.
- Engage with patients from a private, distraction-free home office environment.
- Meet and exceed departmental metrics and stay informed of updates.
- Maintain active licensure and certification and complete all Continuing Education expectations.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
- Active Pharmacy Technician License in your state of residence.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- US work authorization.
Nice to Have
- Bilingual Spanish preferred, medical Spanish a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite.
