Finesse Books is looking for a Publishing & Author Acquisition Associate to join our boutique non-fiction publishing team. This entry-level role supports author acquisition and publishing operations. You will help us connect with inspiring thinkers and streamline our internal workflow.
What You'll Do
- Identify potential authors with influence, compelling stories, and strong messages.
- Build targeted outreach lists and run outbound email campaigns.
- Conduct discovery calls with potential authors to assess project fit.
- Help refine internal content and processes to drive efficiency.
- Prepare and format quarterly royalty reports using Excel and handle related client correspondence.
What We're Looking For
- A strong communicator who can connect with thought leaders and represent the brand professionally.
- Research-savvy and self-starting, with the ability to use social media tools like Instagram to find potential authors.
- Curious and coachable, open to feedback and eager to learn.
- Comfortable and professional on Zoom calls with high-level professionals.
