UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Psychometrist II for our Neurology team to conduct psychological and neuropsychological assessments. In this per-diem role, you will be responsible for the timely evaluation of patients and preparation of reports, working directly under the supervision of faculty neuropsychologists. You will play a key role in supporting patient care through meticulous testing and record management.
What You'll Do
- Plan and implement formal neuropsychological assessments and intervention strategies for inpatient and outpatient referrals.
- Administer and score standardized psychological and neuropsychological tests to adult patients.
- Review electronic medical records and other patient documentation prior to evaluation.
- Interview patients, record relevant information, and evaluate neuropsychological functioning.
- Assist faculty neurologists during clinical patient examinations.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
- 3 years of clinical experience in a related area.
- Relevant employment experience within the past 5 years.
- Excellent interpersonal and computer skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and professionals at all levels.
- The ability to convey complex test results clearly to other healthcare professionals.
- Meticulous attention to detail for accurate test completion, scoring, and data entry.
- Proficiency with computer software for testing and reporting, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Active Certification by the Board of Certified Psychometrists.
- Previous experience specifically in a psychometrist role.
- Prior experience working with patients who have cognitive and neurological disorders.
