About the Role
The practitioner will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with psychiatric conditions through virtual visits, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth platforms
- Diagnose and manage mental health disorders in adults and adolescents
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications following clinical guidelines
- Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans based on patient response
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Collaborate with therapists and care coordinators for integrated care
- Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions and treatments
- Ensure compliance with state and federal telehealth regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Engage in regular clinical supervision and team meetings
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment practices
- Support crisis intervention protocols when necessary
Nice to Have
- Experience in a virtual care setting
- Background in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders
- Exposure to integrated care models
- Training in motivational interviewing or CBT techniques
- Bilingual communication skills
- Prior work with diverse patient populations
- Experience using clinical decision support tools
- Participation in peer review or quality audits
