Practicebetter is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Provider - Geriatrics to deliver essential psychiatric services directly to seniors. This PMHNP role blends independent clinical practice with team-based collaboration within a mobile team serving patients in their homes and senior living communities.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for geriatric patients in home and facility-based settings.
- Diagnose and manage mood disorders, anxiety disorders, dementia-related behavioral symptoms, and other psychiatric conditions.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with careful consideration of comorbidities and geriatric physiology.
- Provide crisis intervention, behavioral guidance, and family education when clinically indicated.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, and facility care teams to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
- Build trusted relationships with patients, caregivers, families, and community partners.
- Maintain consistent, accurate clinical documentation and follow-through.
What We're Looking For
- Current, active, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in good standing in the state of practice required and must be maintained throughout employment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in geriatric psychiatry, long-term care, or mobile healthcare.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and comfort working independently with remote support.
