About the Role
This role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan, including evaluation, medication management, and evidence-based therapy interventions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric disorders using clinical guidelines
- Prescribe and adjust psychotropic medications safely
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment as necessary
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies
- Coordinate care transitions for inpatient and outpatient settings
- Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development
- Promote mental health awareness and stigma reduction
- Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts
Nice to Have
- Experience in telepsychiatry
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care
