About the Role
The physician will deliver psychiatric evaluations, manage treatment plans, and supervise clinical care for adolescents in a residential program, working closely with mental health professionals to support patient well-being and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for youth admitted to the program
- Develop, review, and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications
- Provide diagnostic evaluations and ongoing clinical oversight
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and case managers on patient care
- Ensure compliance with medical and psychiatric standards of care
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in electronic records
- Lead or participate in treatment team meetings
- Respond to medical emergencies involving patients
