The Promotions Assistant contributes to the success of on-site and off-site events for a diverse radio network in Pittsburgh, representing formats such as Sports, Hot AC, News Talk, Urban, and Country. This role ensures that each appearance aligns with the station’s brand identity and supports broader promotional goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with programming and creative teams to maintain consistent branding across all events
- Represent the station as a brand ambassador during live appearances
- Capture event photos with a focus on brand visibility and share across social platforms
- Engage directly with attendees to enhance audience experience
- Support on-air talent with logistical and promotional needs during events
- Distribute promotional items according to company and client guidelines
- Maintain a professional and positive public image at all times
- Bridge communication between programming and sales teams to align client expectations
- Update websites and social media channels as directed by the Promotions Manager
- Complete additional tasks assigned by management
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized in fast-moving environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven problem-solving aptitude and initiative
- Comfortable working independently while following direction
- Experience with Google Workspace, social media networks, and digital promotions
- Ability to learn contesting systems and promotional software quickly
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Capable of lifting and transporting event equipment
- Familiarity with radio remote broadcast setups
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Pass a motor vehicle and criminal background check
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate vehicles on company business
Work Environment
This is an onsite, part-time role based in Pittsburgh, PA. The position requires regular travel to event locations and the ability to drive company or personal vehicles for work-related purposes. Candidates must be prepared to support events during peak broadcast periods, including holidays and special programming.
