The Project Planner will join AtkinsRéalis' Power and Energy Solutions Practice in Glasgow, supporting the delivery of complex projects in the Net Zero industry, including energy storage, industrial decarbonisation, and green hydrogen. The role involves developing and managing project schedules, reporting progress, and enhancing project controls across design, procurement, and execution phases.
What You'll Do
- Ensure on-time reporting to project teams and senior management to display control, progress, and understanding in design, procurement, and execution phases
- Carry out live schedule updates during interactive planning sessions using Primavera P6
- Work closely with Project Managers and delivery teams to develop and manage project schedules
- Gather progress and information from project teams, clients, and suppliers to facilitate accurate schedule updates
- Report to project teams, senior management, and clients
- Develop, enhance, and implement project controls tools and processes
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures and baseline management
What We're Looking For
- Experienced user in Primavera P6 capable of carrying out live schedule updates during interactive planning sessions
- Capable of managing workload
- High level of numeracy and proficiency in analysing data, presenting findings both verbally and visually
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experienced in leading schedule workshops with project teams and clients, capable of carrying out live updates and modifications to schedules with accuracy and speed
Nice to Have
- Minimum of HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience
- Exhibits a good engineering mind and has relevant industry experience in the Power and/or Oil and Gas sector
- Understanding of project lifecycle
- Experience working in Primavera P6
- Experience of working with Earned Value Analysis
