Motorola Solutions is hiring a Project Manager to oversee the deployment of advanced public safety solutions, including Computer-Aided Dispatch, Mobile computing, Records Management, and Jail Management systems. In this US Remote role within the Central US region, you will report to the Regional Deployment/Services Manager and manage projects for a diverse range of customers, from Statewide to City-level agencies.
What You'll Do
- Lead highly complex, large-scale projects for public safety applications (CAD/Mobile/Records/Jail).
- Direct the work activities of the project team across organizational boundaries.
- Drive strategic relationships between internal and external teams and resolve issues between groups.
- Manage the profit level for all projects under your control.
- Establish and maintain project budgets, schedules, communication plans, and quality plans.
- Execute risk assessment and mitigation plans.
- Approve invoices and provide system integration quotations and statements of work.
- Create, distribute, and present various project status reports and results.
- Work with the Project Management Office to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Participate in pre-contract evaluation of terms and scope to mitigate risks.
- Participate in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations.
- Manage a team of individual contributors across multiple disciplines, providing leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma, Technical Certification, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree, with professional experience in one of the following areas: Project Management, Program Management, Business Operations, Communications, Finance, IT, Solutions, or Technology.
- Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Regional Deployment/Services Manager.
