Nucor is looking for a Project Manager to join our Rebar Fabrication team. In this role, you will manage complex construction projects from initial estimating through final completion, coordinating multiple vendors and internal teams. You'll cultivate a positive customer service environment while maximizing project profitability.
What You'll Do
- Review contract documents and coordinate detailing efforts for cost-effective product and service supply.
- Provide total contract management for each assigned project, coordinating detailing, scheduling, delivery, and costs.
- Oversee efforts to ensure Nucor fulfills all contractual obligations on your assigned projects.
- Coordinate project requirements with the contractor’s representative, rebar installer, engineer, and architect.
- Schedule detailing and delivery with contractors, detailers, and production staff.
- Review project changes to determine scope and process documentation per change order procedures.
- Assist in the change order process until customer acceptance is achieved.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers, and customers.
- Represent the company in project meetings as required.
- Work with the Detailing Manager to control the financial aspects of contracts.
- Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Branch Manager.
What We're Looking For
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated construction project management experience or at least ten years of reinforcing steel sales, detailing, fabrication, placing, or related steel industry experience.
Nice to Have
- Ability to apply ACI codes and CRSI standards.
- Experience in customer relations and resolving problems or disputes.
- A basic knowledge of contract law, standard business practices, and human relations.
- Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Effective leadership skills and the ability to coordinate your own and others' actions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to use all applicable tools.

- Compensation range: $66,000-$125,000.
