About the Role

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Project Manager I to manage projects with a clearly defined scope, coordinating across disciplines to deliver essential energy infrastructure. In this role, you will execute projects under guidance, facilitating communication between internal teams and external customers.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate resources and provide oversight and direction to project team members.
  • Assemble and lead multi-disciplinary project teams, identifying scope and logical action to meet requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between service providers and internal customers.
  • Respond to customer concerns and work with appropriate parties for resolution.
  • Apply general rules, standards, and guidelines to specific technical problems.
  • Report on project and program progress as directed.
  • Gather, consolidate, and analyze facts related to project requirements.
  • Develop, manage, and forecast project schedules and budgets.
  • Support emergency response work as requested.
  • Speak effectively in public to communicate technical information.
  • Manage projects involving new construction, upgrades, and modifications to electrical, gas, and generation facilities.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in scheduling, estimating, accounting, and finance principles.
  • A customer-oriented, positive, team-oriented, and collaborative attitude with flexibility and a solid work ethic.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing small projects or programs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to bring about agreement between divergent points of view; ability to write clear, concise narratives and reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills for single or multiple technical areas.
  • Negotiating and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of utility methods, techniques, and procedures involved in budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Advanced Project Management Training and Project Management or Construction Management Certification from an accredited institution.
  • General knowledge of techniques used to involve community members in project development.

Team & Environment

You will be part of the Customer & System Projects team and will work under the guidance of a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.

  • Compensation range: $80,200.00 - $115,800.00.
